Madeline had a way of making people feel both trusted and accountable. She gave people room to do their jobs, expected them to take ownership, and was never afraid to say exactly what she thought. She cared deeply about the firm, the work, and the people behind it. Although her passing left a very real absence at SLAY, much of what she built is still here - in the relationships, the standards, the loyalty, and the expectation that people show up, do good work, and take care of one another.
