As SLAY’s work in Laredo continued to grow, the firm needed more than another project architect. It needed someone who could lead design, manage clients, coordinate teams, and keep projects moving. Madeline found that range in Monica, along with the design instinct to make the work stronger.
“The comprehensive talent Monica brings to the table made her the perfect fit for our team.”
Monica built on a strong design foundation. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architectural Design from the University of Texas. She later completed a Master of Architecture in Urban Design there.
Design remains central to the way Monica works. She can take an idea, sketch it clearly, and help clients see where a project can go.
She is equally comfortable when the details arrive. Monica moves easily from design and rendering into construction documents, consultant coordination, and construction administration. Through each phase, she keeps the original design idea in focus.
“Monica’s talent in design and sketching captures the essence of a project and shows clients what is possible.”
Today, as SLAY’s lead Architect in Laredo, Monica stays involved from the first client conversation through construction. She manages projects, coordinates teams, solves problems, and keeps work moving. Often, she does all of that across several projects at once.
That range allows Monica to see both the big picture and the details that shape a project’s success. It also strengthens SLAY’s work throughout Laredo and South Texas.
Monica is a licensed Architect in Texas and is active in the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects.
