Architect | Environmental Designer | Project Manager, SLAY Architecture
Detail-driven, Strategic, Integrative
Amber’s path into architecture started with the details. Early work in high-end furniture, tile, and custom residential design-build shaped how she approaches projects today. Through those experiences, she developed a practical understanding of materials, interiors, construction, and the decisions clients live with every day.
A San Antonio native and Texas A&M College of Architecture graduate, Amber has spent more than 20 years in architecture, interiors, project leadership, and construction. Throughout her career, she has worked across custom residential, commercial, healthcare, retail, multi-family, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.
As SLAY looked toward its next stage of growth, the firm needed someone who could connect the work, the people, and the opportunities ahead. Amber brought that combination of experience and perspective.
“Amber sees details most people never notice. She understands how they affect the bigger picture, asks the right questions, and keeps things moving until the problem is solved.”
Today, Amber helps lead SLAY’s project delivery and growth. She builds client relationships, develops new opportunities, and helps assemble and mentor project teams. At the same time, she guides key design and technical decisions throughout the project. She oversees documentation, consultant coordination, quality, schedules, and client expectations. From the first conversation through construction, Amber works alongside teams to identify issues early, solve problems, and keep projects moving forward.
Beyond her work at SLAY, Amber stays closely involved in the profession. She serves on the AIA San Antonio Board of Directors and chairs the Women in Architecture Network. In addition, she mentors emerging professionals pursuing licensure and contributes to architectural education.
Amber holds architectural licenses in Texas and Arizona and maintains NCARB Certification.
