I was very pleased with Madeline’s services and fees for my commercial projects, and I not only plan to use them for future projects, but would highly recommend them to an owner or developer to consider them for their projects.

SAWoman Profiles Madeline Slay of SLAY Architecture
We are so very proud of our Founder and President, Madeline Slay! She is featured on the front cover of San Antonio Woman Magazine’s July-August edition. The story describes Madeline perfectly. Not only is she an outstanding architect, she has done so much for our community. San Antonio is indeed fortunate to have Madeline here!

I have known Madeline Slay for several years. We first met through NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners). Not only is Madeline an extremely talented and successful architect, she is a stalwart leader in our community. When she commits to do something, she gives it her all. NAWBO has certainly benefited from her leadership. I sat on her board when she was President. There were some difficult issues to deal with and she was the perfect leader to guide the organization to new heights. Madeline Slay is passionate about satisfying others dependent upon her, both in her business and in her community. I am proud to call her my friend.

St. PJ’s Children’s Home is blessed to have Madeline serve on our Board of Governors. She brings down-to-earth, practical business wisdom into much of the work that we do; along with terrific guidance related to our campus and facility needs. Not only is she a valuable Board member, she is also a great friend and supporter. St. PJ’s has been able to achieve many of the advances we have because of her genuine leadership.

Madeline Slay is a respected member of AIA San Antonio, a chapter of The American Institute of Architects. Over the years she has given generously of her time and talent. From her ten year tenure on the AIA San Antonio Board of Directors to her leadership as a co-chair of the 2007 AIA National Convention, Madeline has been been one of my key go-to members. She is a consummate professional and a trusted friend.

Tools of the Trade
As architects, it’s important to be up to date on the latest methods in architectural production. From the initial concepts, which can be as low-tech as a pencil and paper, to 3D renders and virtual camera flyovers of prospective designs, Architects use many tools to achieve the results. Many of these tools can require a lot of expertise that can only come from years of education, application and experience so that they are effectively used to achieve their intended purposes.
