City of San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters
2010
Situated in the heart of downtown San Antonio, the Public Safety Headquarters was designed to consolidate the operational programs of both the fire and police departments. The campus consists of a six-story, LEED Silver Certified Administration Building, a nine (9) story parking garage, a fueling station and car wash. The Administration building features a light-filled atrium lobby constructed with steel and glass that connects the first two floors with the adjacent parking garage. The K-Mart retail on Santa Rosa Street was demolished to make room for the new building and site development. The existing Police Headquarters on Nueva Street was demolished after the new headquarters was completed.
